#057 Great News 🎉

Hello friends 👋

I hope you are all well and ready for the year ahead!

It’s been a while since my last post because I was busy preparing for my APC Final Assessment. Thankfully the hard work paid off and I was notified in December 2022 that I am now a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors!

It’s has been a long, tough road. I purposely didn’t write this post as soon as I got the results because I wanted to pause and reflect on the journey. As you may know I was a non-cognate candidate, so 5 and a bit years a go achieving MRICS status was nothing more than a pipe dream.

In that time period, I completed an RICS accredited conversion course in quantity surveying and then I enrolled onto the RICS 24 month structured training program. In reality it took me longer than 24 months due to a variety of reasons (but i’ll save that for another post).

Thankfully - it is now all over. I think this is the first time in a long time where I don’t have a structured period of study ahead of me - which is both liberating and disconcerting all at the same time.

During my short break from these posts, I received several post requests - I will address those in the coming weeks. I will also continue to make posts about the APC process and other topics going forward.

If you have any specific post requests or questions about the process, please feel free to drop me a message!
